Wedding Season
With nearing the end of the year (It’s already October and that’s fucking wild) I will be taking more of a break from updating the website regularly.
I have 3 weddings scheduled for October with an additional 2 surprises which 1 is already done!
I am beyond thankful for all of the end of the year sessions they have helped my family and I dearly, it’s been really nice meeting with couples and getting to know them before their big days.
I honestly wanted to quit weddings after this year, but I think I am just going to rebuild my packages for next year and try to be easier on myself mentally. I have been very hard on myself but after shooting this wedding I am giving sample photos of I am 100% certain on continuing my wedding packages and being a lot easier on myself when it comes to certain aspect of things.
I know what I am capable of capturing and producing, I know that compared to other photographers that do weddings very regularly and charge 4x what I do that I do as good as if not better of a job.
I didn’t batch edit photos with a preset, I took the time to color each individual photo, straighten (mostly, some I didn’t bother straightening to add to the character) cropping, blemish removing acne, whitening teeth, each and every single photo.
After all edits were done each photo had to be reviewed again by myself and my wife to clear being finished and ready for export.
In total not counting the wedding time, just the digital time of color grading/correcting, editing, creating the Google Drive, documents needed exporting and uploading both the Full Resolution Photos and Social Media Friendly Photos, it was over 8 hours of sitting at my computer to accomplish this.
Not every wedding will I finish over 500 edits within 24 hours of their first kiss, I just happened to in this situation. A lot of people don’t understand the amount of time and care that goes into each photo and I love being able to do that for someone and hope it makes those moments even more special to them.
I will never be or act big headed when it comes to my photos, I put a lot of pressure on myself to do better than I am able to because that is what people deserve not only for their money they are spending but most importantly for their memories they will show people for the rest of their life, that is my job to capture and create. I cannot fuck that up. I also know when and where I outperform myself. I blew this wedding out of the fucking water.
Less than a 6 hour notice to shoot a wedding and to have accomplished everything I did I am very happy with myself.
Over 2,000 photos gone through with over 500 edits less than 24 hour after the Bride and Grooms first kiss!!
This is not me gloating this is me finally showing myself some recognition for what I was able to achieve and I am just very happy, especially with going into 4 more weddings.
